Lemon Herb Seasoning
Makes About 1/4 cup
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried lemon peel
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a small bowl and stir until evenly combined.
- Transfer to an airtight spice jar or container.
- Use approximately 1 to 2 teaspoons per pound of chicken, fish, or vegetables, adjusting to taste.
- For a simple marinade, combine 1 tablespoon of the seasoning with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
Notes & Tips
- This seasoning works especially well with chicken, fish, roasted vegetables, and potatoes.
- For deeper flavor, season meat 15 to 30 minutes before cooking.
- If dried lemon peel is unavailable, omit it from the dry blend and add fresh lemon zest or juice when cooking.
