Greek Yogurt Marinade

Makes About 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Add the Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to a medium bowl.
  2. Whisk until completely combined and smooth.
  3. Add chicken, turkey, or vegetables and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate chicken or turkey for at least 2 hours, or overnight for deeper flavor.
  5. Remove excess marinade before grilling, baking, or roasting. Discard any marinade that has been in contact with raw meat.

  • Marinate chicken or turkey for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • This marinade can also be used for vegetables like zucchini, bell peppers, or mushrooms.
