Greek Yogurt Marinade
Makes About 1 cup
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Add the Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes to a medium bowl.
- Whisk until completely combined and smooth.
- Add chicken, turkey, or vegetables and toss until evenly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate chicken or turkey for at least 2 hours, or overnight for deeper flavor.
- Remove excess marinade before grilling, baking, or roasting. Discard any marinade that has been in contact with raw meat.
