Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

A thick and refreshing strawberry banana smoothie bowl topped with fresh fruit, almonds, and chia seeds. It delivers plenty of fruit, fiber, healthy fats, and protein from Greek yogurt for a colorful and satisfying breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 fresh banana, sliced, for topping
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced, for topping
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen strawberries, frozen banana, Greek yogurt, almond milk, honey, and vanilla to a blender.
  2. Blend until thick and smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Add almond milk 1 tablespoon at a time if needed to help the mixture blend, keeping it thick enough to eat with a spoon.
  4. Divide the smoothie mixture between two bowls.
  5. Top with the sliced banana, fresh strawberries, almonds, and chia seeds.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes & Tips

  • Use frozen fruit for the thickest smoothie bowl. Fresh fruit will produce a much thinner consistency.
  • Start with only 1/2 cup almond milk and add more only if necessary.
  • For extra protein, add additional Greek yogurt or a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
  • Blueberries, raspberries, chopped walnuts, or unsweetened coconut make great additional toppings.
